Periodontics refers to the specialism in dentistry concerned with the gums and the structures surrounding the tooth.
Periodontists undergo several more years of study before becoming accredited and our Principal Dentist is currently undertaking an MSc in Clinical Periodontics at the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Birmingham.
This means that we as a practice can take on much more complex periodontal cases and can perform such treatments as bone grafts, gingival recession coverage, and periodontal regeneration. We also offer crown lengthening treatments and can help treat advanced bone loss and other more severe periodontal cases.
